Prerequisites: Must be able to put face in the water comfortably and blow bubbles. Must be able to float unassisted on front and back for 5 seconds each without floatation. Skills We work on: Safe entry into the pool, bobbing, floating/gliding on front and back, kicking on front and back, rudimentary front crawl and swimming on back Passing Criteria: Push off and swim using front crawl (big arm) actions with breaths for 5 body lengths, roll to back, float for 15 seconds, roll to the front then continue swimming for 5 body lengths.
